Plain Text Templates

The Spam Problem

Due to our email servers being swamped with spam, we had to discontinue this service in it's old form (they were originally made available monthly by automatic email request). If you don't understand what the problem is with spam, this is a good example. When an individual receives a few dozen spam messages a day, it is sometimes difficult for them to understand why such a fuss is made. However, when you start getting several hundred an hour, you see it from a completely different perspective. The prevalence of unsolicited commercial email is now so big a problem, and so time-wasting to manage, that email is seriously in danger of becoming redundant. However, since so many of our members found these templates useful, we decided to archive them.

The 'Off The Peg' Alternative

Plain Text Newsletter Templates are ready-made monthly newsletters specially put together for adapting individually to suit each user's particular needs. There are three themes to choose from: Health and Well-Being, Home and Family and SOHO and Small Business. The difference between each is only in the 'guest articles' chosen for inclusion. What it means then, is that now anyone can start their own newsletter, without needing to find, or even think about, appropriate 'content'. You simply adapt our Plain Text Newsletter Templates to suit your own requirements by adding whatever extras you want, such as editorial, articles etc, and removing (within certain parameters) what you don't want.

Plain Text Newsletter Templates are, as you would expect, in 'plain text' format so as to make reformatting and laying out really easy for printing, electronic distribution, or HTML adaptation. As such, they are suitable for either ezines or print newsletters.

Simplicity is the key feature of Plain Text Newsletter Templates and they are really most appropriate for newsletter start-ups rather than existing publications.

The Collection

Although the volume numbers and months of issue are no longer strictly relevant, we have listed them in the same order so as to conform to seasonal changes and events that could prove useful. To view them, click on the links. To download them to your own computer, simply treat them in exactly the same way as normal ClipCopy files.

Non-members can open the last three items on this page (i.e. the three November newsletters in Vol IV).
