A Selection Of Newsletter Templates
Newsletter Template Types
Of the two kinds of newsletter template, the choice you make as to which to use for your newsletter depends on your circumstances. For example, if you are primarily interested in your readers preserving the highest possible security settings, you would use plain text since you might want to advise them to turn off HTML for reading emails. If, on the other hand, you wish to display graphics in your newsletter, you would want them to view them in HTML, since using plain text only allows graphics as email attachments.
Plain text templates use ASCII, the built-in protocol that computers use to interpret computer key-strikes. ASCII cannot be formatted, hence the expression 'plain text'.
HTML templates, on the other hand, can be formatted in a number of ways, just the same as a webpage. That's no surprise, of course, as HTML is the 'language' of the web. Different styles and changeable fonts, graphics, hyperlinks, tables etc. are all acceptable formatting features in this type of template.
HTML Newsletter Templates
There are a good many of these available on the Internet, ranging from the simple to the more complex. Some though, such as those that use 'Flash', can be a bit expensive. You don't need to worry about that however, because we offer the Ultimate Newsletter Templates package as part of the ClipCopy Content Solutions package and it includes some excellent quality graphics. Also, the Ezine Machine, which is our HTML newsletter editor program and is also part of ClipCopy Content Solutions, includes its own set of HTML templates too. Choose HTML Templates from the margin menu under SubGroups.
Plain Text Newsletter Templates
There are not so many of these available as there used to be, mainly due to the popularity of HTML. Plain text still has its advantages though, particularly in the security field, and we have three years of monthly templates here just for you. Click the appropriate link in the menu under SubGroups.
